The website "account online" is unreliable and the degrees of professionalism vary in customer service on the phone. Sometimes it was totally laughable and other times I didn't have any problems at all.
The autopay feature doesn't always work and two months later once after I disconnected it, the autopay went through to my bank account anyway and I had a huge potential to be overdrawn from it.

The service areas have deadspots in rural areas that other networks pick up on. The rollover is a good thing but actually I haven't been using it much in the last 6 months. Yes the rates were higher with Verizon but Cingular has taken on way too many responsibilities with the merger of them and ATT that I don't think they were completely prepared to handle. Over 80% of the new numbers ported to Verizon are from Cingular/ATT users after the merger.

Go with Cingular... but pay a little more for the phone and sign on for the 1 year contract instead to see how you feel. I had issues with them after 10-13 months.

I totally agree. SE phones are horrid, especially the overhyped T616.

I hate moto's as well, especially the razr. Compared to my Nokia 6230b, the razr has bad rf, no removable memory (gee, you can play mp3s but can only store 2 maybe 3 mp3s? mp4 support but can't store anything but stupid little clips? because you get less than 5 megs total, as opposed to my Nokia's 1 gig MMC, how lame...) A few superficial features my nokia has over the razr, fm radio, equalizer, longer vid cap length, night mode, over 2,000 games available, numerous cell bodies to suit your mood, etc

The clam shell of the razr is nice, if you want a flat cell the width of a pack of cards. Make sure you actually hold one before you decide to get one. I especially hated the SE t616 interface (too MS/pc like) and the moto interface isn't much better. Functions are oddly categorized, and what the hell is up with doubled entry contacts? I do have to admit, I am envious of moto's ability to assign a unique ringtone to each contact. The nokia only allows you set a ringtone 5 caller groups. It sucks.

Personally, if I had a gun pointed to my head and had to choose a moto cell I would probably choose a V551, at least you get the full functionality that makes it worth it. The razr is cute and mainly a vanity phone, but unless you get a deal from cingular, gotta admit it is overpriced for what you get (or rather don't get).

I'm partial to the idea of the Audiovox myself, because of its expansion and sync capabilities, and it's a very powerful phone. It might be more phone than you need (it does run Windows, after all). The Smartphone software is very, very sweet, though. It's got full PDA capability, and you can play Solitaire. The software is amazingly easy to navigate, too. You can put a gigabyte MiniSD card into it and use the bundled Windows Media Player to play music with it. It's definitely the most versatile of the bunch.
